On the directions of National Legal Services Authority and J&K State Legal Services Authority,   National Lok Adalat was organized across Jammu region .Cases of Civil nature, Criminal Compoundable , Petty Offences, Bank Recovery Cases, MACT Cases, Consumer Cases, Matrimonial Cases, Cases under 138 NIA, Revenue, Electricity, Water, Passenger Tax and Railway Cases were taken up and settled in the Lok Adalat.At Jammu: The Lok Adalat was organised by District Legal Services Authority at District Court Complex Janipur with nine benches taking up 3093 cases and deciding 2957 cases. A total amount of Rs 73214822 was awarded in different cases.Similar Lok Adalat Benches were also constituted at Tehsil Headquarters at Akhnoor, Bishnah, and R.S. Pura which were presided over by respective Chairman, Tehsil Legal Services Committees.AT RAMBAN, National Lok Adalat took up 408 cases and of which 227 cases were disposed of including Bank recovery cases 03, Electricity cases 07, MACT cases 06 and Criminal compoundable cases 38.A settlement of Rs. 47.56 Lakh was awarded in the resolved cases. Furthermore Matrimonial cases 07 and civil cases 12 were also disposed off.

AT SAMBA: The National Lok Adalat, with three benches took up  53 cases, of which 14 cases were disposed of. In three cases of MACT an amount of Rs 1730000 was awarded as compensation, while one electric case was disposed of by awarding an amount of Rs 13,55,912.In labour dispute cases, 8 cases were settled and amount of Rs 18400 was settled. One case each u/s 341/323 and D.V. Act were compromised, while 148 traffic challans were disposed of and a fine of Rs. 36700  was realized.AT UDHAMPUR: The National Lok Adalat with 5 benches took up 711 cases pertaining to different nature, of which 600 were settled. An amount of Rs 92,25,000 was awarded in MACT cases and Rs. 2,40,000 was realized in Bank cases while Rs.1,90,460 was imposed as a fine in criminal compoundable cases.AT KATHUA: National Lok Adalat with three benches resolved Criminal Compoundable cases, MACT cases, Bank cases and Hindu Marriage Act cases. A Compensation of Rs 49,09,000  was awarded in the MACT cases, and a Recovery of Rs 11,11,140 was also passed in favour of the Banks. Compound money of Rs 40000 was realized on the spot.A total 348 cases were taken up of which 188   were disposed   settled.Earlier three Pre-Lok Adalats were also organized from Sept 3 to Sept 07, 2018.At Bhaderwah: The Lok Adalat comprising  04 benches took up 237 cases including MACT cases, Bank Matters, Civil cases, Labour disputes, Civil and Criminal cases. Around 51 cases were disposed of and an amount of Rs. 707681/- was settled in the MACT cases, Bank recovery and other criminal compoundable cases.AT POONCH, National Lok Adalat comprising two benches took up 745 cases of which 257 cases were settled.  An amount of Rs. 600000 was settled in civil cases, while Rs 2525000 was awarded in MACT cases and Rs 995728 was recovered in Pre-litigation cases. In Criminal cases Rs. 9250 as fine was recovered.Besides, 23 civil and 38 criminal cases were also decided.
