President of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee Sunil Jakhar today said that former Punjab Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal has taken onus of Behbal Kalan firing to save the skin of his son and Akali Dal Chief Sukhbir Singh Badal, who’s role as Home Minister of the state was under lens for firing at Behbal Kalan.Interacting with the newsmen here on the sidelines of a function organized by the Indian Youth Congress, Jakhar, accompanied by national Secretary of Congress Sh. Krishna Allavaru, said that Sukhbir must explain as who ordered the firing during at Behbal Kalan, which led to killing of innocent people. He said that until no satisfactory answer is given the onus will lie on Sukhbir Badal for this barbaric crime, which has no precedent in the past. He said that either Sukhbir is so incompetent that the then DGP by-passed him and ordered the firing or it was Akali Dal Chief who ordered the firing, the answer for which is to be given by former Deputy Chief Minister himself.Quipping on the program of Akali Dal to burn the effigies, Sh. Jakhar said that Sukhbir and his cronies must burn the effigies of those who have deceived the state or of those who backstabbed the panth or those who have bruised the sikh psyche in connivance by the Dera Sirsa Chief or those who have ordered firing on innocent Sikhs at Behbal Kalan. He said that Sukhbir must peep into his conscience and introspect as to who gave orders of firing at Behbal Kalan. He said that Sukhbir and his stooges have to answer all these queries of people before indulging in such political gimmicks. On another query, Sh. Jakhar said that Akalis ran away from debate on the floor of state assembly because they were afraid of facing the truth.

He said that now the senior Akali leaders were shying away from being part of such cheap tantrums of burning the effigies of political rivals because they are aware that Behbal Kalan firing was handiwork of Sukhbir and his over loyalist officers. He said that the probe of Justice Ranjit Singh Commission has raised several issues which has forced people to give new nomenclature to former Deputy CM as ‘Sukhbir Singh Insaan’. He dared Sukhbir to explain the reason as why he has failed to watch interest of panth during their regime.Making a scathing attack on Sukhbir Badal, Sh. Jakhar dared him to explain that why he remained mum on issue of delivering justice to 1984 victims while enjoying the fruits of power as Industry Minister in late Atal Bhari Vajpayee government. He said that it is a fact that except lip service to get political mileage on issue, the Badals have done nothing for these victims.Urging the Aam Aadmi Party leader HS Phoolka to exercise restrain, Sh. Jakhar said that none of the commissions formed in the past have shown results such expedite manner as Justice Ranjit Singh Commission. He said that Phoolka sahib must have some patience as SIT will be soon constituted by the state government. He said that the SIT will be formed soon and the perpetrators of this crime will be out behind the bars very soon. He said that these people have tried to disrupt peace and amity in state by killing innocent people at Behbal Kalan and they will be punished very soon. Sh. Jakhar further said that in order to make people more aware of role of Badal’s and their cronies in Behbal Kalan incident, the Punjab Pradesh Congress will take the report of Justice Ranjit Singh Commission out of legal jargons and translate it in simple Punjabi. He said that these copies of the report will be then distributed amongst the people to make them aware of the dubious character of Badals.

Earlier interacting with the youth, Sh. Jakhar said that it is unfortunate that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who never tires of boasting his humble background as chaiwala, has a heart which beats for the capitalists and is apathetic towards the food growers of the nation. He said that position is so pathetic that after every 45 minutes, which is average duration of PM’s Mann Ki Baat, a farmer commits suicide in the country. However, he said that instead of standing firmly with the farmers the PM is busy watching interest of his capitalist friends. After a girl belonging to family of Armed personnel highlighted the poor ration supply to the jawans at LoC, Sh. Jakhar said that it is unfortunate that Modi government has ignored the brave hearts of the country. He bemoaned the poor state of affairs as highlighted by the girl and reminded Modi about the high talks made by him in terms of bringing 10 heads against one soldier killed at border. He said that nation will certainly teach a lesson to these people.Sh. Jakhar described the Rafale deal as a conspiracy hatched to jeopardize the national security. He said that Modi government has obliged his friend the Ambanis by allotting contract of construction of these plans whereas in reality Ambanis don’t know how to make a paper plane. He said that all schemes of Modi government including Start up India, Stand up India and others are aimed at only benefitting the capitalist friends of the Modi.On the occasion President of Punjab Youth Congress Sh. Amanpreet Singh Lally, President of District Youth Congress Sh. Ashwin Bhalla and others were also present.
