CM apprises PM about progress under GoI schemes

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur participated in the meeting of Chief Ministers Council held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at New Delhi today. The Prime Minister was apprised about the progress under various centrally sponsored schemes being implemented in the State.The Chief Minister informed that so far 2118651 persons had been benefitted in the state under 25 schemes of Government of India. He said that 100 percent electrification target had been achieved however every year about 40,000 connections were provided to newly constructed houses and complexes. He said that electricity connections to 6101 houses had been given and 7055 connections would be provided by October, 2018 under Saubhagya Yojana.He said that under Pradhan Mantri Shahri Aawas Yojna, 348 houses were constructed under beneficiary led construction component whereas 2000 houses were under construction. He said that under Pradhan Mantri Grameen Aawas Yojna till now 14110 families had been provided houses since beginning of the scheme and Himachal was second state in the country in construction of houses under the scheme according to data collected up to 13 August 2018.

Jai Ram Thakur informed that 74608 persons were benefitted under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojna (PMUY) in the state and the state government had started Himachal Grihini Suvidha Yojna to facilitate persons who were not covered under PMUY. He said 681 bigha land had been acquired for construction of AIIMS in Bilaspur district and process of transferring 666 bighas was under process. He said that 503786 soil health cards had been issued and the targets would be achieved by March, 2019. The state government had also geared up for implementation of Ayushman Bharat Yojna and about 525000 beneficiaries had been identified so far.The Chief Minister also apprised the PM about progress made under Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojna, Swachh Bharat Mission, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojna, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Beema Yojna, One Rank One Pension, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojna, Atal Pension Yojna, Rashtriya Arogya Nidhi, Rashtriya Gokul Mission, DDU National Urban Livelihood Mission, Grameen Kaushal Yojna, AYUSH, Weather based crop insurance scheme, Stand Up India Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna and Hunar se Rozgar Tak .BJP National President Amit Shah, Senior BJP leaders and Union Ministers and Chief Ministers of BJP ruled states attended the meeting.
