Continuing its drive against adulteration of food under the ‘Tandarust Punjab’ mission, a team of health department carried out an inspection of vehicles involved in the supply of milk and milk products in Adampur town of the district on Wednesday.A health team led by District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Balwinder Singh along with Food Safety Officer Mrs Rashu Mahajan and others intercepted i-20 car No (PB06 5669) delivering cheese at Sweet shop in the town.The cheese was kept in the dicky.The team immediately collected the one sample of the cheese. Later, the team checked a chilling centre at Jandu Singha and took three samples of milk.A spokesperson said that the samples would be sent to state food laboratory, Kharar, Punjab, and action would be taken according to the report of samples. He said that the administration is committed to ensuring safe products and good health of the residents.
