DDC Bandipora for speedy execution of developmental works

District Development Commissioner (DDC), Bandipora, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary today asked all district and Sectoral Officers to speed up the developmental tempo in the district and ensure that all developmental projects and welfare schemes, under execution, are completed within the stipulated time frame.The DDC said this while chairing an officers’ meeting, held here to review the pace of progress in the district.Dr. Shahid stressed upon the Officers to submit monthly progress reports, both physical and financial, to his office by 3rd of every month positively.Reviewing the status of development projects that need additional funds, the DDC stressed upon the concerned Officers to submit their priorities and plans immediately so that funds could be arranged for completion of these projects.Officers were also directed to submit required information regarding BEAMS as per proforma.On the occasion, the meeting was informed that 44 development projects are near completion at an estimated cost of Rs.411.69 crore in Sumbal, Bandipora and Gurez constituencies of the district.These projects include 13 road projects, 9 water supply schemes, 5 bridges, 15 buildings, many flood protection works, one grid station and electrification project for Chan- Dajee, Wawvan,Shamthan and Kudara villages.Among others, the meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer Abdul Majeed and other senior officers of the district.
