Hundreds hailing from all walks of life joined today AIP’s solidarity march with Jammu Muslims and in support of Article 35-A in Srinagar today. Protesters holding play cards against Jungle Raj in Jammu province, conspiracy against Advocate Talib Hussain and brutal killing of Murfad Shah inside Farooq Abdullah’s residence started march from Sher-I-Kashmir Park.Led by Er. Rasheed protesters chanted forcible slogans in support of Talib Hussain and other relevaant issues. However a heavy contingent of police prevented the protesters from moving towards Lal Chowk near Pratap Park and detained Er. Rasheed along with two dozen party activists. Including Sheban Ashai, Peerzada Mushtaq Ahmad, Tahir Mir, and others.Before being arrested Er. Rasheed while talking to media warned state administration of dire consequences if it doesn’t stop playing in the hands of communal forces. He said “While AIP believes in giving Kashmiris Right to self determination but protecting 35-A cannot be taken far-granted. The credible inputs suggest that in around 16 localities in Jammu region nomads and Gujars are being asked to leave their ancestral places. Jammu police seems to have forgotten its professional duties and there is no accountability”.Er. Rasheed further added that Kashmiris are not enemies of India but can’t disgrace and forget their sacrifices and beg for restoration of Autonomy. Appealing to maintain unity Er. Rasheed reiterated AIP’s support to pro-resistance leadership and added that there is no better platform available to fight for the political rights of people of J&K.Er. Rasheed appealed religious clerks all over state to aware masses about sufferings of Jammu Muslims on eve of Friday conjugations. He demanded withdrawal of false case against Advocate Talib and sought an independent probe in the entire conspiracy and added that the move is just to dilute Asifa’s rape and murder case. (PTK)
