Himachal Pradesh Government would set up a toll free helpline for the safety of women. Withe the help of this helpline , women could raise alarm in wake of any crime against them and got immediate protection. Social Justice & Woman Empowerment Minister .Dhani  Ram  Shandil disclose this while talking to reporters. He  said women in public places or outside their home remained venerable to any crime but the state government has mooted out a plan to register such crime on urgency after setting up la helpline to nab the accused on the spot. Emphasizing the need for providing self defence for girls in educational and vocational institutes, the Minister said the government would ensure that scout and guide training for girl students should be made compulsory initially making provisions for two per cent enrollment for girls so that they could face the any eventuality during their lifespan with confidence and could come out in the public places with boldness. 'Efforts would be made to provide safe journey to woman in the buses and they could raise alarm in case of any eventuality,' he said, adding that the state would recruit more women in police force to give more safety protection to the fair sex. "The state have woman commission to readdress their grievance but victims were not getting quick justice due to various reasons the state would find out the causes of pendancy of cases also provide teeth to this constitutional body by ensuring that its recommendation and direction to be followed by the authority concerned on priority. 'It is unfortunate that Women Commission is constitutional bodies like Election Commission but its direction and recommendations are not being followed in right sprit, Dr Shandil said and currently three posts of officials in the state woman commission were laying vacant for long time to be filled soon. He said the state government propose to enhance the outlay for women and child development in next budget for year 2013-14 by Rs 67.68 crore from existing Rs 44 Cr in 2012-13.
