Parts of Srinagar on Tuesday faces water-logging due to incessant rains throwing life in the summer capital out of gear.It was difficult for the commuters to walk on various city roads even the commercial hub Lal Chowk, Residency Road and MA Road here literally remained deluged.At some busy and important junctions including Regal Chowk, the pedestrians preferred to hire auto-rickshaw to cross the roads. Most of public transport went off the roads due to water logging which hampered the smooth movement of traffic.Massive water-logging was witnessed at Parraypora, Rambagh, LD Hospital, TRC Junction, Regal Chowk, Jehangir Chowk and Sonwar.Water-logging of roads was also witnessed at exhibition crossing, Hari Singh High Street, Ram Bagh, Hyderpora, Padshahi Bagh, Kursoo Raj Bagh, Jawahar Nagar, Natipora, Lal Bazaar, Achanambal, Pandrethan, Iqbal colony, Sonawari, Lasjan, Naveedabad, Batamaloo Bypass, Babademb, Samandarbagh also complained of water logging. Shaher-e-Khas areas including Aram Mohalla in Khanyar, Aali Masjid, Braripora in Nawakadal, Safakadal and Soura were also waterlogged. (PTK)
