The senior leadership of Aam Aadmi Party inclusing zone presidents, wing presidents, distt presidents and halqa presidents met under the leadership of co-president Dr. Balbir Singh at Chandiggarh on Saturday. The leader of opposition in Punjab vidhan sabha Harpal Singh Cheema, MLA Kultar Singh Sandhwan and Prof. Baljinder Kaur also attended the meeting.In a press statement, Dr. Balbir Singh said that the diacussions about present state of AAP in Punjab and future of AAP was discussed during the meeting. He said that the incharge of AAP Punjab and Delhi deputy CM Manish Sisodia and MP Bhagwant Mann will address the office bearers on August 13 at Jalandhar. AAP will hold conferences at Issru and Baba Bakal on August 15 and 26 respectively.
Dr. Balbir said that the office bearers during meeting have rejected the resignations of AAP state president Bhagwant Mann and co-president Aman Arora and the same will be informed to national leadership. The appointment of Harpal Cheema as LOP was hailed by the office bearers during meeting and thanked high command for giving respect to the dalit community.The members condemned the act of insulting women AAP MLAs Sarbjit Kaur Manuke, Rupinder Kaur Ruby and Prof. Baljinder Kaur on social media. The members also passed resulation to reach out the leaders and worker who have made distance from the party in the past. The zone presidents Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, Dalbir Singh Dhillon, Dr. Ravjot Singh, Gurditt Singh Sekhon and distt. presidents addressed the meeting.
