Urging Budhlada residents of maintaining peace and have patience to get their demands fulfilled, Mansa DC Apneet Riyait today said that every effort would be made to fill potholes on Budhlada roads. She visited the affected Budhlada, Boha, Baretta areas and interacted with local residents yesterday.We are very much concerned over the long pending demands of the public which include proper road infrastructure, availability of drinking water and proper sewerage system. But it takes a lot of time to provide such facilities and can’t be done overnight”, Riyait said. She added that the district administration is exploring all the ways and means to expedite these works.“As of now all I can ensure is that the work on all projects including the repair of roads has begun”, she said, adding that the work will be done at full throttle.She said that the repair work of road between ITI Chowk and Truck Union has already begun. The work of installing streetlight and repairing road between Truck Union to Captain KK Gaur Chowk and further till Shri Guru Nanak College will be done by Water Supply and Sewerage Board soon.The Bhikhi Boha road has to be repaired by the B&R Department but even then, to give some respite to the public, it is being repaired temporarily by the MC as of now.Also the tender process of Railway Road has been completed and its recarpeting would be done very soon.Deputy Commissioner during her yesterday’s visit has also strictly directed MC Budhlada officials to get their unfulfilled vacancies of Safai Sewaks fulfilled at the earliest.
