District Development Commissioner Anantnag, Mohammad Younis Malik, today convened a meeting of officers from Health, Education, Rural Development, Municipal Committees, and Social Welfare to review preparedness for Swachh Survekshan in the district.The DDC directed the concerned to ensure cleanness in towns and villages and stressed upon them to mobilize their field functionaries so that proper sanitation and cleanness is ensured in all the towns and villages of the district.For achieving effective results, the DDC directed Tehsildars, BDOs, ZEOs, CDPOs, Principals and Headmasters of educational institutions to conduct awareness camps in the villages, Anganwadi centres, Health institutions in consultation with ICDS, Health, Rural Development departments, village level committee members, Numberdars and locals.He directed all the departments to ensure that sustainability of the efforts taken under SBM and other cleanliness drives. He asked the officers to sensitize their field functionaries and educate the people about the goals of SBM.The meeting was attended by ADDC, CMO, CEO, ACD, BDOs, Tehsildars, ZEOs, CEO, MC, Anantnag, Eos of all Municipal Committees, CDPOs, CDPOs, Principals of the educational institutions of the district.
