The Shiromani Akali Dal has said that Congress party is again hatching a deep rooted conspiracy to push Punjab in black days.. It said that the mindset of the Congress party has not changed since the days 35 years ago when the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi with the motive to hide her failures had hatched conspiracy which led to killing of thousands on innocent sikh youth.Addressing a press conference here today, Former Minister and the SAD General Secretary Mr. Bikram Singh Majithia, the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) General Secretary & Distt observer Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa, distt. president and former MLA Mr. Veer Singh Lopoke and Former Minister Mr Gulzar singh Ranike disclosed that in a meeting of the SAD today several issues were discussed and resolutions were passed on them. They told that the Shiromani Akali Dal has always launched and led struggles to keep the sanctity of the Guru Granth Sahib, Sikh Principles and traditions and it will continue to do so. They said that it will continue to resist forcefully all those who conspire to weaken the Sikh Panth and challege the authority of Shri Akal Takht Sahib. They said that in 1984 Indira Gandhi Government with the motive to hide failures of her government has attacked Sri Darbar Sahib and Sri Akal Takht Sahib with tanks and guns. In this attack not only pious Guru Granth Sahib was desecrated but hundreds of innocent Sikhs were murdered.
In November 1984 too thousands of innocent Sikhs were killed by the mobs led by the Congress leaders and it was worst ever massacre seen in the world aimed towards any particular community.They said that similar is the situation in the Punjab today where the Congress government has miserably failed to perform and deliver on its promises and now with the motive to hide its failures and divert the attention of the people, it is hatching conspiracies to corner the common man and was creating an atmosphere where common men will be engaged in fight with each other. They said that in a deep rooted conspiracy hatched by the opponents incidents of desecration of Guru Granth Sahib were planned to defame those organizations and institution which work for upliftment of the Panth. Similar is the situation today when a few men promoted by the Congress party are sitting on a dharna and naming it as so called Morcha. They said that their motive is to work for the benefit of the Congress party and create division among the sikh community and disturb peache in Punjab.The SAD leaders said that this Morcha is an attempt to mislead the people and was a part of deep rooted conspiracy and Congress party had planned this Morcha and deputed its own men to sit on this Morcha. They said that the Congress government is providing all sorts of facilities to these men apart from helping them politically and financially. They said that motive of the Congress government to divert the attention of the people from the real issues.They said that by instigating people Government wants to hide its failure on unemployment, Farmer suicides, failure to waive of farmer loans and failure to stop the drug trade.They said that this is first such Morcha in which the government machinery is helping the people staging so called protests. They said that after the expose on funding by the Congress government representatives and from abroad, it has now become clear that so called Jathedars sitting on the Morcha are misleading the Sangat residing abroad only to fill their own pockets with the foreign funding.
They said that when this has been exposed in Media, now the government agencies are working overtime to suppress reports related with this issue but the Sangat was aware of the issue. They said that Congress party is trying to mislead the Sikh Panth by staging of this Morcha involving its own men. They said that those sitting on this Morcha are same persons who had participated in Chabba gathering almost two and a half years ago. That gathering was also a show of the Congress party which tried to mislead Sikh sangat with so called Panthic gathering but aware sangat had failed that gathering too. They said that those people who have no courage to speak against attack on Sri Darbar Sahib and Sikh massacre are now trying to show their loyalty towards the Congress party . they said that some former Congress Ministers and so called Sikh leader of Delhi Parmjit Singh Sarna, who is close to Gandhi family, Shiela Dikshit and Jagdish Tytler and Sajjan Kumar responsible for sikh massacre, are now reaching out to so called Jathedars sitting on the Morcha to tell them about the guidelines from Gandhi Family. They said that their guidance has exposed the hidden agenda of the Morcha. They said that under the garb of being a sikh, some anti panthic people have crept into the Panth.The SAD leaders questioned the so called Jathedars that why they have not acted against those who particapted in the last rites of KPS Gill who had killed thousands of sikh youth. They also asked the Congress High Command to specify that why it has given go ahead to hatch such conspiracies and push the Punjab in black days era. They cautioned it that mistakes of the past should not be repeated and Punjab should not be used as a ground to play dirty tricks and cheap politics.They urged the people of Punjab to be aware of the conspiracies being hatched by the Congress and said that Congress should realize that it cannot mislead the Sikh Panth and people of the state with it show of fake concern on sikh matters.
