A state-level function to commemorate the Martyrdom Day of Shaheed Karnail Singh Issru, the first Punjabi Martyr of ‘Goa Liberation Movement’ would be organised at the grain market in village Issru, near Khanna (District Ludhiana) on August 15, 2018. Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh and other prominent persons would attend this function and pay tributes to this great martyr.A meeting in this regard was organised under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner Mr Ajay Sood at PWD Rest House, here today. During the meeting, Mr Sood directed the concerned officials to start preparations about this function. He said that keeping in mind the high number of people attending this function, strict security arrangements should be put into place. Senior officials from different government departments were also present during the meeting.
