Congress leader from Majithia assembly segment today ridiculed the claims of Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia that the massive crowds who turned out at the Congress rally in Majitha yesterday were hired and outsiders. In a joint statement district Congress committee rural president Gurjeet Aujla, Lali Majithia, Suwinder Singh Kathunangal and Shailenderjeet Singh Shelly said, it was clear admission of defeat by Bikram that massive crowds had actually turned out in the rally that was a referendum against him and he was now saying that they were not the locals. They said, his saying that these were hired or outsiders, is just a sign of his frustration that people of Majitha have risen against his high handedness and armtwisting tactics. They advised Bikram to see the writing on the wall and mend his ways lest it be too late for him.“Unlike you we do not hire or import people from outside because we have faith in our local supporters”, they told Bikram while adding, he must realise that this was going to be the beginning of his end.
