First Aid training camp for drivers concludes

Three-day First Aid training programme organized by Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) Jammu Region for commercial vehicle drivers concluded here at Col. Hira Nand Memorial Hall, Red Cross Bhawan.The participants were imparted Hands on training on CPR besides they were also made aware about prevention of Road Traffic accidents and motivated for Blood Donation and drug de-addiction.The camp was held under the aegis of St. John Ambulance (India), Regional Centre from 16th July, 2018 to 18th July, 2018.The training was imparted by the Sr Consultants namely Dr. Ranbushan Singh and Dr. Rajinder Thappa assisted by Smt. Kanchan Devi, Supervisor Pharmacist. The exam was conducted by Dr. Kavita Nijhon, Medical Officer, Red Cross Dispensary, Jammu.Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region, Dinesh Gupta, briefed the participants about the functioning of Red Cross Society and how they can also be of big help to the passengers during accidents and medical emergencies   and can save precious lives of others by applying the knowledge acquired during the Training. He also appealed them to be associated with Red Cross and share the benefits of having the First-Aid Training Programme among their friends.
