Vipul Ujjwal, a 2009 batch IAS officer, take charge as new Deputy Commissioner of Gurdaspu today. He replaces 2006 batch IAS officer Gurlovleen Singh Sidhu, who has now been posted as Director Sc/BC at Chandigarh.After assuming charge as the  Deputy Commissioner today, Deputy Commissioner Sh Ujjwal said timely and speedy resolution of public grievances and timely execution of development projects would his top priorities.He said the administration would redress the grievances and attend to problems being faced by border residents so that these could be redressed timely. He said he would put in efforts to take the district to new heights of development, growth and success. He also sought cooperation and support from all sections of society as well as elected representatives for scripting new chapters of development.He said he would assess the problems being faced by the district and the residents and try to find a solution and work for overall development of the district. He also held a meeting with officers of various departments at their office after taking guard of honour.Deputy Commissioner Sh Ujjwal was posted as the Deputy Commisssioner, Hoshiarpur, before he was transferred.On the occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Mr. Vijay syal, SDM GurdaspuR Sakattar Singh Bal, Raman Kochar AC and officers from various departments were also present.
