Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Sanjeev Verma along with District Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar today visited migrant camp at Jagti. The duo was flanked by Relief Commissioner M L Raina and Director Health Services Jammu, Dr. Gurjeet Singh.The Div Com inspected community hospital here and took stock of the equipment and infrastructure of the hospital. The hospital administration apprised him about the equipment required by them. The Div Com asked the hospital authorities to make the operation theatre operational at the earliest. The hospital team also put forward demands for more sophisticated equipment and professionals.Sanjeev Kumar also visited residential quarters of the camp and took stock of the ongoing repair works there. He was informed by the concerned authorities that the quarters are being repaired in phased manner under which ceiling leakages and repair of bathroom and kitchens will be done. In the next phase, face lifting of the quarters will be done with special attention to the repair of doors and windows.The Div Com also interacted with the families and enquired about their problems and issues. He directed the concerned authorities to improve quality, cleanliness and hygiene of the quarters. He expressed satisfaction over regular power supply in the camp and assured that water shortage will be met with at the earliest.Earlier Sanjeev Kumar visited RS Pura and witnessed the construction work of Mini Secretariat. He also visited the proposed site of Seema Bhavan. It is pertinent to mention that Seema Bhavan’s are going to be constructed in five border districts of Jammu that will include Primary Health Centre, schools, community centre etc. He also visited the flood prone areas of Phallain Mandal and urged the locals to start plantations along the river banks.
