In a bid to provide pollution free environment to the residents of Mansa under Mission Tandarust Punjab, Mansa police have checked 88 vehicles.Divulging more details about the ongoing drive against the traffic violators, Mansa SSP Parambir Parmar said that out of these 88 vehicles, 21 were awarded challan for emitting pollution.The SSP stated that no vehicle would be allowed to emit pollution which is a major health hazard, especially for the elderly and children. He stated that the traffic police are committed to reduce to the level of pollution from the district and no pollution emitting vehicle would be spared.Parmar revealed that daily police nakas are being held at different points across the district everyday to keep a check over the level of pollution emitted from the vehicles.He said that out of these 88 vehicles, 16 more vehicles were awarded challan under other categories as well.
