Director Rural Development, Jammu Mohammad Mumtaz Ali today chaired a meeting to review physical and financial progress achieved under various schemes here in twin blocks of Poonch and Surnkote.Detailed deliberation was held on various schemes being implemented by Rural Development Department like MGNREGA, Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana (PMAY), SBM-G and 14th FC, TSP and BADP. Referring to all round and inclusive development envisaged in these schemes and programmes, the Director impressed upon their effective implementation to achieve the envisioned goals.The BDOs were directed to achieve the targets within stipulated time and to work with transparency and accountability.Directions were also given to undertake scheduled visit in the field to take feedback from public and to ensure their participation in formulation of yearly developmental plans apart from monitoring the development works pertaining to their rural development department for result oriented plans. After review meeting, the Director visited panchayat jhulass, Daradullian and Daradullian Kawarian and other panchayats of district Poonch and inspected developmental works.The meeting was attended by Assistant Development Commissioner Mukhtar Ahmed Sheikh, ExEn REW, BDO’s and AEEs.
