District Development Commissioner, Rohit Khajuria chaired a District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting to review the flow of credit, performance of banks in key areas relating to deposits, advances under priority sector, Govt. Sponsored Schemes, lending for the quarter ended 31st March 2018, here today.During the meeting, DDC reviewed the progress of CD ratio, cases under PMEGP - KVIB / KVIC / DIC / NULM, NRLM Handloom / Handicraft, with special emphasis on credit linkage of borrower under these schemes. He emphasized upon banks to simplify the systems and procedures so that maximum beneficiaries are credit linked under various schemes for generation of employment. He directed Government departments and Banks to focus on awareness programmes for dissemination of information to intended beneficiaries so that they are facilitated to set up new units of economic activities. The DDC further said that potential under Agri and allied activities be exploited fully to achieve the benchmark of 18%.Highlighting the need for concrete action plan to increase present CD-ratio of 43.06% drastically to achieve national level of 60%, the Chairperson asked the banks for fixing branch-specific targets and adopt multi level approach for continuation of Gram Swaraj Abhiyan to cover maximum number of persons under social security schemes like Jan Dhan Yojana, Suraksha Bima Yojana, Jevan Jyoti Yojana.
LDM, S K Kandroo presented the achievements under Annual Action Plan for the year 2017-18, informed the house that Rs. 509.25 crores have been disbursed under priority sector and Rs. 663.55 crores under non-priority sector, thereby recording 88.98% achievement of ACP as on 31.03.2018. Further, under social security schemes 112445 accounts opened under PMJDY, 2698 individuals has been covered under Atal Pension Yojana, 27271 individuals under Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, 44173 individuals under Suraksha Bima Yojana and 12912 accounts under PMMY have been financed as on 31st March 2018.DDC also released booklets on ‘Service Area Approach/ACP 2018-19’ prepared by Lead Bank Office and ‘Annual Activity Report for 2017-18’ prepared by SBI-RSETI, Kathua.Representatives from RBI, NABARD, J&K Bank, SBI, PNB, JK Grameen Bank, NRLM, KVIB, DIC, KVIC and senior officers of Govt. departments and Reliance General Insurance were present during the meeting.
