BJP confirms support of Attawa villagers

It was 8.30 pm when the Bharatiya Janata Party’s MP candidate, Kirron Kher reached at Attawa village to address a public meeting. She was accompanied by the BJP’s State President, Sanjay Tandon. The former union minister, Harmohan Dhawan and Shiromani Akali Dal, Chandigarh, President, Jagjit Singh Kang too marked their presence. As soon as the MP Contender reached on the stage, many local women came to hug her. The meeting which was organized by the SAD’s councilor, Malkeet Singh registered the large participation from the local residents.While raising the questions over Congress party’s performance, Sanjay Tandon asked the crowd that what they got in the last 15 years from the Congress government. “The congress party has failed to fulfill the basic needs of the common man. The sitting MP, Pawan Kumar Bansal is cheating people with his false promises. I appeal to weigh the merits of the candidate before casting your valuable vote on April 10”, he added. Speaking on the occasion, Kirron Kher said, “It is good to see the participation of women here. Many of them came to the stage and one of them whispered in my ears that it was good to see a woman contesting for the male dominated Chandigarh Parliamentary seat”.On this occasion, Jagit Singh Kang also expressed his views.
