Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal said that two projects costing Rs 75 crore have been awarded for laying optical fiber network in Gurugram, Rs 65 crore tender has been floated to open Incident Command Centre and detailed project reports have been made for the installation of CCTV cameras at an estimated cost of Rs 60 crore, which will be presented within a month. By mobilizing such modern facilities, we will make Gurugram not smart but smartest city, he added.The Chief Minister was addressing the audience on the completion of four years of Central Government in Gurugram today.He said that Karnal and Faridabad had been declared smart city. A sum of Rs. 500 crore was being given by the Central government for making a smart city, whereas in the Gurugram, a sum of Rs. 2,000 crores is available with the Municipal Corporation alone. He said that we want to develop Gurugram as India's Silicon City and are also working in this direction. In Gurugram, Rs 75 crores had been awarded for laying optical fiber network whereas in smart cities Karnal and Faridabad the laying this network is still in the planning stage.he said that Incident Command Centre would monitor law and order in the district and such type of arrangement is still under consideration in Karnal and Faridabad.
While speaking on the four years of the Central government, he said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi several new schemes were implemented to change the system. The unprecedented development works done under the Central Government has changed the entire picture of the country.He said that central government has launched several schemes including Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojna, Skill India, Stand Up and Start Up India, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala scheme under which women were given LPG connections, target to double the income of farmers by 2022, bank accounts opened under Jan Dhan Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana- Housing for All, for the welfare of each and every section of the society.He said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not hesitate to take big steps by implementing demonetization, introduction of GST, one rank one pension, Prime Minister Jan dhan Yojana, Atal Pension Scheme.Other present included, Cabinet Minister Rao Narbir Singh, BJP State President, Mr Subhash Barala, Media Advisors to Chief Minister, Mr Rajiv Jain and Mr Amit Arya.
