President of India Ram Nath Kovind presented a “Brick” to Sanjeev Rana of Bilaspur for construction of Martyr Memorial under ‘Ek Eint Shaheehdon ke Naam’ pogramme during the Civic Reception organised here today.It is worth mentioning that the state government has taken a decision to construct Martyr memorials in every district of the state to salute the contributions of Martyrs who laid down their lives while safeguarding interests of the nation. Keeping in view the supreme sacrifices of brave soldiers of the state, who sacrificed their lives to raise the honour of the country, the state government is providing full support to the campaign.Sanjeev Rana, who is the Convener of the campaign, was earlier presented brick (Eint) for this purpose by the Chief Minister along-with his cabinet colleagues few days back. According to Sanjeev Rana, the objective of construction of Martyrs' memorials was to aware the coming generations of sacrifices made by these brave persons.The contribution for the memorial in the form of one brick and construction material are being accepted however no cash is being taken for this campaign. Volunteers are visiting house to house to connect with common man for the campaign. The martyr memorials will be constructed and renovated under this campaign in the state with the cooperation of people.Shri Rana said two martyr memorial have been constructed in Haryana with active participation of local people. He said those who want to associate themselves with the campaign, can contact 98151-98364.
