A first of its kind HIGH TECH NAKA on BEAS river between Jalandhar & Amritsar, planned and executed by District Police Amritsar Rural, was inaugurated by Sh Hardeep Singh Dhillon, IPS, DGP Law & Order. This HIGH TECH NAKA has AUTOMATIC NUMBER PLATE RECOGNITION (ANPR) system incorporated in the software which is the first of it's kind in the State of Punjab, making Amritsar Rural the first district to have such an advanced technology at a NAKA POINT. This NAKA will have systems integrated with VAHAN Software and CCTNS to identify all vehicles which will prove to be a force multiplier and will usher in a new era in curbing the highway crimes at the entry and exit point of district Amritsar.
