After failing to produce a bank account while filing her nomination papers for the Anantnag parliamentary seat on a few days back, Peoples Democratic Party president Mehbooba Mufti without taking any chances, filed her nomination papers again on Friday.On Tuesday while filing her nomination papers Mehbooba Mufti managed to open a fresh account in a hurry in Cooperative Bank as that day it was the official holiday for Jammu and Kashmir Bank.
Pertinently, as per Election Commission of India (ECI) guidelines, every candidate is supposed to have a fresh bank account after the notification for elections is issued.According to reports, Mehbooba Mufti again appeared before Returning Officer in Anantnag on Friday and filed her nomination papers with a fresh Bank Account.She told reporters that she does not want to take any chance and before her papers could have been rejected, she found it convenient to file the nomination papers again.
