Project Includes 98km Sewer Line And 105km Water Supply Line, Monitoring Through Scada System Worth Rs 3.43 Crore

Punjab government is set to launch a major water supply and sanitation project worth Rs 124.03 crore for Khanna city soon.During a function on Sunday, Khanna MLA Gurkirat Singh Kotli said that the city was in dire need of such project and our party has promised to people during assembly elections.He said that the project would fulfill the long pending demand of residents.MLA added that 98km sewer line and 105km water supply will be laid in the entire city under the project.Kotli further told that nine tubewells worth Rs 2.28 crore and Rs 3.77crore will be spent on the construction of five water tanks. Apart from this, a computer automatic controller system of Rs 3.43 crore will also be established in Municipal Council office.He stated that after the completion of the project, the city would have 100 percent facilities of sewer and water supply.On the occasion, Municipal Council chief Vikas Mehta, Block Congress Chief Jatinder Pathak, Ashok Kumar Tiwari, SDO Rajinder Kumar Nanda, Councillor Sunil Kumar Neeta and several local leaders were present.
