Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur launched the Coffee Table Book ‘Himachal Achievers- A Trek to the top’ brought out by Amar Ujala newspaper here today.Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the endeavour of the newspaper was laudable as this would not only encourage the achievers to perform better, but also motivate others to achieve new heights. He said that Amar Ujala has created a special place for itself in the field of journalism by maintaining high professional ethics. He said that free and fair reporting of Amar Ujala has not only set a bench mark for the profession but has also earned credibility for itself.He said the simple tip for success was to work with dedication and commitment and learn from our own mistakes. He said that it was a matter of concern that fearless and unbiased reporting was at times missing. He said that the each one of us irrespective of our profession and careers also have some social obligations and responsibilities. He said that there was no short cut to success except hard work and dedication.The Chief Minister said that on the day one of assuming office, the state government started working with set goals and targets. The government has taken some small, but long lasting initiatives for welfare of the State. T
he state was lucky to have the benevolence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the union government had been considerate towards developmental needs of the State. He said that the present State Government in its first budget announced 30 new schemes in the budget 2018 and adequate budget provision has been made in the budget for all these schemes.He said the State had some added attractions for the entrepreneurs to invest in the State. The accountable and responsive administration, salubrious climate, abundant and uninterrupted power supply were some of the added attraction which the investors could not find anywhere. He said that Himachal Pradesh had made good progress in the field of education, but still more needed to be done. Various achievers form education, industry, health and other sectors were honoured by the Chief Minister of the occasion.Resident Editor, Amar Ujala Rakesh Bhatt said that Amar Ujala newspaper had endeavoured to bring out this publication to showcase the achievers of the State in various field of entrepreneurship.
