To assess the party’s preparations for Shahkot By-poll, former minister and senior leader of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) today took a meeting of all zone heads of the Youth Akali Dal (YAD). Various strategies to ensure victory to the party candidate Naib singh Kohar were explored during the meeting.Giving information about it, a party spokesperson said that S Majithia was apprised about the current position of the party in Shahkot assembly constituency by zone heads who attended the meeting. They also discussed the ways that may help in tilting the election campaign in favour of SAD candidate.S. Majithia told the youth leaders to talk with people about the development work done in the constituency during the SAD-BJP government. Asking the YAD leaders to tell the voters about criminal background of the congress candidate, he urged them to warn the people that don’t let a law-breaker to turn into a lawmaker as it could prove a curse for the region.The spokesperson said that the next meeting over Shahkot By-poll would be held on May 14 at the party head office in Shahkot. All core committee members, district presidents, office bearers and youth leaders of YAD have been invited for this meeting.
