Punjab Government Signs Mous With 21 Industrial Groups Worth Rs 1336.87 Crore

Giving a major fillip to the industrial development in the state, Punjab government on Thursday signed Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) with 21 industrial houses in Ludhiana, worth Rs 1336.87 crore in the presence of Minister for Industry and Commerce Sunder Sham Arora. The industrial groups include Happy Forgings Pvt Ltd (400 crores), Ludhiana Beverages Pvt. Ltd (220 crore), Million Exports (200 crore), Pact Industries Ltd (170 crore), Eastman International (90 crore), Bonn Group of Industries (50 crore), KG Exports (21 crore), Sharu Steel (10 crore), Ramaya Balaji Alloys Pvt Ltd (6 crore), KNL Drive Line Pvt Ltd  (10 crore), Trishala Alloys Pvt Ltd (5.92 crore), Jagraon Concast Pvt Ltd (2.5 crore), Skyway Forge (4 crore), Panama Alloys (5 crore), Seth International Corp.(22 crore), Bawa Knit Fab Pvt Ltd (50 crore), New Swan Group of Industries (30 crore), KHK Alloys Pvt. Ltd (2.5 crore), Renny Strips (P) Ltd (25 crore), Sardar Associates (2.5 crore) and SRV Steels (7.5 crore). 

Minister for Industry and Commerce Sunder Sham Arora told that the state is set to get the investment of Rs 60,000 crore due to new industrial policy prepared by the government led by Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh. He said that single window system for the industrialists is also being launched in each deputy commissioner's office so that industrialists do not suffer for the investment. Later, the minister also held special interactions with renowned business tycoons include SP Oswal from Vardhman Group, Onkar Singh Pahwa of Avon Cycles, Janpath Estate's Mohinder Goyal, Harpreet Singh of Pact Industries, Rakesh Gupta from Eastman and others.On the occasion, Industry and Commerce department's principal secretary Rakesh Kumar Verma, Punjab Industries and Export Corporation's Managing Director Rajat Aggarwal, Industry and Commerce department's director DPS Kharbanda, Deputy Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Agrawal and others were present.
