Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh today said that the State Cabinet would take a final decision on the recommendations made by the Cabinet Sub-Committee on mining.Captain Amarinder was speaking to the media after accepting the report of the Cabinet Sub-Committee on Mining, which was handed over to the Chief Minister by Local Government Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu. The sub-committee comprised Sidhu, Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal and Rural Development & Panchayat Minister Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa.Reiterating his government’s commitment to ensuring total transparency in the mining business in the state, the Chief Minister said the Cabinet would deliberate on the suggestions made by the committee and take a final decision on the same. It was high government’s aim to provide sand and gravel at affordable rates to the people in a streamlined and transparent manner, said Captain Amarinder.
