The Manager of Punjab Agricultural Development Bank (PADB) Malout Rakesh Kumar has been placed under suspension. Since the last three months he was sitting on the file of sale case and had not prepared the arrest warrants of Dyal Singh Kolianwali who is defaulter of Rs 1.02 crore loan of the bank inspite of the directions of the bank MD.Disclosing this, the Co-operation Minister, Punjab, S. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa made it absolutely clear that nobody willfully defaulting on the loans of co-operative banks would be spared and strict action in accordance with the provisions of law would be initiated.It is worth mentioning that in the recent meeting Chaired by S. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, the minister enquired from the Bank MD H.S. Sidhu about the case who then submitted that the Manager had only prepared the sale case of Dyal singh and his wife. But the Manager did not prepare the arrest warrants of Kolianwali.The Minister directed the MD of the bank to immediately suspend the Manager. Now, Assistant Registrar Malout has been asked to prepare his arrest warrant within one week.
