The ultra modern interstate Bus Stand would be constructed in Manali on PPP mode in order to ensure best facilities to the tourists and general public. This was stated by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur after he laid foundation stone of New Bus Stand in Manali in Kullu district today.Shri Jai Ram Thakur directed the officers to complete all the necessary formalities regarding this project at the earliest so that the work on this ambitious project would be started soon. He said that the project should be completed in stipulated time period and it should be ensures that the Manali Bust Stand becomes one of the best bus stands of the State as Manali was one of the most famous tourist destination of the State where thousands of tourists visit every year.Shri Jai Ram Thakur said that ensuring better connectivity to the remotest area of the State was the priority of the State Government and for this adequate provision has been made in the State budget. Earlier, he laid foundation stone of construction of Road from NH-21 to village Bran road under PMGSY to be constructed at a cost of Rs 320 lakh.
About 4 panchatays of area would be benefited from this road. He also laid foundation stone of improvement and metalling and tarring of Marhi Gadherni to Parsha Shaleen road under PMGSY –RIDF-XXIII to be constructed at a cost of Rs 397.30 lakh. Chief Minister also laid foundation stone of upgradation and beautification of Green Tax Barrier near Aloo ground.Chief Minister also laid foundation stone of Police Station building at Manali to be constructed at a cost of about Rs. 5 crore.He also laid foundation stone of Nature Park, Beas Vihal Manali to be constructed at a cost of Rs 3 crore. Member of Parliament Ram Swaroop Sharma, MLA Anni Kishari Lal Sagar, MLA Banjar Surinder Shorie, Political Advisor to Chief Minister Shri Trilok Jamwal, OSD to the Chief Minister Sishu Dharma, Member State Women Commission Ms. Manjari Devi, Deputy Commissioner Kullu Yunus, Superintendent of Police Kullu Ms. Shalini Agnihotri, other senior officers of State Government were present on the occasion among others.
