Jai Ram Thakur launches six major health schemes for State

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur in presence of Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda launched six ambitious health schemes for the State from Rath Ground, Kullu today. These schemes are Digital Nerve Centre (DiNC), LaQshya Programme, Anemia Mukt Bharat, e-Compliance programme and Mobile App of Universal Health Protection Scheme. He also laid foundation stone of 100 bedded Mother and Child Health Wing at regional hospital Kullu to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 20 crore. The state government has received Rs. 5 crore for this project as first installment from Government of India.LaQshya Programme is an initiative to improve the quality of care in the labour rooms and operation theatres and other areas related to mother and child to reduce proportion of maternal and newborn deaths. Anemia Mukt Bharat is a step towards making mothers and children anemia free. Mobile App of Universal Health Protection Scheme aims at achieving universal health coverage while  e-Compliance is an endeavour to check TB in the country and ensure 100 per cent compliance of treatment of TB. Digital Nerve Centre (DiNC) has been launched in association with TATA Trust for linking the patients with specialist doctors for world class treatment.The Chief Minister said that the state government has enhanced the assistance under RSBY to Rs. 1.75 lakh and Rs. 2.25 lakh for cancer care. The Mother and Child Health Wing in regional hospital Kullu would go a long way in ensuring quality services to the pregnant women and newly born babies. 

The Chief Minister also provided LED bulbs to beneficiaries under the Gram Swaraj Divas.Later, the Chief Minister laid foundation stone of Lift Irrigation Scheme to Gram Panchayat Bhalyani, Bhumteer and Barahman to be constructed at a cost of Rs 14.63 crore and laid foundation stone of Lift Water Supply Scheme to villages Phatti, Peej, Kharahal, Balh, Barahar and Khariar to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 16.71 crore.Transport and Forest Minister Shri Govind Singh Thakur said that the Union Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi was ensuring that the pace of development did not suffer due to want of funds. He said that Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur had a new vision for taking Himachal to ‘New Heights’.Member of Parliament Ram Swaroop Sharma said that best coordination between the Chief Minister and Union Health Minister had ensured that the State get immense benefits from central schemes.MLA S.S. Thakur also welcomed the Chief Minister, Union Health Minister and others on the occasion.Former MP Maheshwar Singh said that the Mother and Child Care hospital would provide best health care facilities to the mothers and newly born babies. He thanked the Chief Minister for dedicating and laying foundation stones of developmental projects worth crore of rupees in Kullu district.Principal Secretary, Health Parbodh Saxena detailed salient features of all these schemes.MPP and Power Minister Anil Sharma, Health and Family Welfare Minister Vipin Singh Parmar, MLA's Ani Kishori Lal and Surender Shorie, OSD to Chief Minister Shishu Dharma, Advisor to the Chief Minister Trilok Jamwal were present on the occasion among others.
