District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal, Dr. Piyush Singla today chaired a meeting to review the physical and financial progress of various development works taken up under Rural Development Schemes.While reviewing the status of projects taken up under various schemes, DDC directed all BDOs to accelerate the pace of work in their respective areas and stressed on adoption of more innovative methods in various schemes and involvement of common masses in the development process so that the set targets are achieved well in time.The DDC stressed on greater transparency in implementation of developmental works and judicious use of funds and enjoined upon BDOs for timely payment wages to labourers submitting utilization certificate, Geo tagging of works, registration of works on MIS portal so that process of funding may flow smoothly.Earlier ACD & DPO presented detailed presentation and appraised the chair regarding status of development schemes including funds available, released, utilized and balance during the financial year 2016-17 and 2017-18. He impressed upon the VLW’s/Panchayat Secretaries and other field functionaries of Rural Development Department and Panchayat Raj Institution to submit their monthly progress reports under all developmental schemes for placing the data in public domain.Among others the meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, N.A Baba, Assistant Commissioner Development Ganderbal, ExEn REW Ganderbal/Srinagar Shafat Hussain, District Panchayat Officer Ganderbal, and all BDO’s of the District.
