In order to provide better infrastructures and quality education in government schools, Speaker Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta, today inaugurated newly constructed building worth Rs 22 lakh at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Channi Himmat Jammu.On the occasion, the Speaker said that the government is working under a well-knit strategy to provide better infrastructure and education facilities in government schools of the state. He assured that the playground of the school would be upgraded soon to enable the students participate in sports activities.On the demand of school administration to introduce psychology subject in the school, the Speaker assured them that he would take up the matter with concerned authorities so that necessary action could be taken up in this regard.The Speaker also took stock of development activities being executed in the School and asked the concerned to ensure timely and quality completion of these vital works. Earlier, the Speaker visited all sections of the schools and inspected the status of functioning there. AEE, PWD (R&B), Rajesh Augustam, Principal GHSS, Channi Himmat, Parveen Akhter, Vice Principal, Satinder Kour besides other staff members of the School were present on the occasion.
