Workshop on Startup initiatives held at Peterhoff

Department of Industries and Support Center, HPCED organized one day workshop on Startup Initiative by Government of Himachal Pradesh under the Chief Minister’s Startup/Innovation Projects/New Industries Scheme at Peterhoff Shimla.Experts on Startup along with Angel Investors, Incubators, Legal Experts, Venture Capitalists, Government officials and Incubates were brought under one roof to share their ideas and views. Experts on different subjects on Startup deliberated on life cycle of Startup, Venture funding, Angel Funding, Intellectual property rights during this workshop.Existing incubates in the State show cased their Startups at the venue. A video conference was also held with the Angel investors from Gujrat where the Startups showcased their ideas to the investors.Additional Chief Secretary (Finance) Dr. Shrikant Baldi and Principal Secretary (Industries) Shri R.D. Dhiman assured all possible help from the State Government to promote Startup culture in the State and asked the department to come up with the proposal to strengthen the Chief Minister’s Startup Scheme.The Director Industries, Sh. Rajesh Sharma assured that government will help Startups by extending financial help and reducing codal formalities involved in functioning of Startups. He also explained that the Department of Industries has already launched Startup Portal to facilitate Startups of Himachal Pradesh. An Idea can be registered online and is eligible to take other such benefits using online portal.Annual Entrepreneurship awards were also distributed to Medsamman, 4Play and Local Guy.Additional Director of Industries Sh. Jitender Sanjta extended a vote of thanks.
