“Teachers must adapt to present day technology and focus more on e-learning that will surely help them improve their pedagogical skills”, stated Joint Director, Education, Jammu, Charandeep Singh during his interaction with teachers who are undergoing e-learning training courses in different schools in Jammu region. While reviewing e-learning training at government higher secondary school boys, Bakshi Nagar organised by RMSA and imparted  by the NIELET experts, the Joint Director observed that the module prepared was not covering basics and accordingly advised trainers to fine-tune the module prepared for the new trainees. He said since e-learning training is one of the major components of capacity building of RMSA, it has to be foolproof and beneficial for teachers. He also oversaw preparations being made by the institutions for the start of new academic session and asked head of institutes and staff to create an atmosphere of festivity for the students and welcome newcomers in the new academic session. Expressing concern over dilapidated condition of classes, ground, entrance, laboratories and allied infrastructure at government middle school, Rehari, the Joint Director directed the headmistress and staff to launch a cleanliness drive and make the institution neat and clean. He added that e-learning inventions are rapidly becoming government's response to continuous learning and change in the new  knowledge based economy.
