District Development Commissioner Anantnag, ‏‏Mohammad Younis Malik today chaired a meeting to review the traffic management plan to decongest major roads in the district.In the meeting, various ways and means were discussed to decongest the Anantnag town and ensure hassle-free traffic movement in the district.It was decided that branding of vehicles registered with different stands shall be ensured so that passengers can easily distinguish the unregistered vehicles. Besides, all the passenger vehicles will use route boards.Representatives of various stands operating in the district assured the chair their cooperation for better traffic management in the district. It was also agreed that for point-to-point plying, routes shall be identified so that commuters are facilitated and traffic snarls are minimized.The DDC said that parking spots have already been identified for minimizing the traffic jamming in the town and better parking facilities shall be coming up in near future. He made a special reference of multi-parking space Jangalat Mandi which shall be catering the major parking slots in the town.
