Scores of students on Tuesday held a protest demonstration against the Roads and Buildings Department (R&B) for 'failing' to handover a school building sanctioned for Government High School Chandanwari in north Kashmir's Uri.The protesting students alleged that R&B has not handed over the school building to the school administration even after its completion. "After completion of the building which has been sanctioned for Government High School Chandanwari, R&B has not handed over the building to the school authorities" , the protesting students said.Reports said scores of students blocked the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad national highway at Chandanwari and shouted slogans against R&B department.However after getting assurance from Zonal Education Officer Chandanwari the protest was called off and traffic was restored in the area.
