Jai Ram Thakur inaugurates and lays foundation stones of various developmental projects worth crores

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that the State Government has set a target of tarring 2500 km roads during the financial year 2018-19 and has made additional budget provision of Rs 100 crore in the Budget proposed for the next financial year.He was addressing a huge gathering at Pandoga in Una district today after laying foundation stone of Bridge over Padehal Khud on link road Una-Pirnigah-Bihru to village Madanpur to be constructed at a cost of Rs 100 lakh. He said that this 22 meter long bridge would benefit over 2500 people of three villages. He also inaugurated bridge over Chattra Khud on Behdala-Chattra-Pirnigah road constructed at a cost of Rs 150 lakh and bridge over Pandoga Khud on Hoshiarpur road constructed at a cost of Rs 332 lakh.Earlier the Chief Minister dedicated monumental National Flag to the Nation at Municipal Park Una. This 143 feet national Flag is the tallest National Flag in the State.Chief Minister said that the present State Government has full support and blessings of our beloved Prime Minister Shri Narinder Modi and BJP National Chief Shri Amit Shah. He said that the Union Government was sympathetic towards the developmental needs of the State. He said that the opposition was opposing the recently presented budget only to divert the attention of the people from this developmental oriented budget. He said that today 21 states of the country have BJP Governments and credit to this goes to the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narinder Modi.Jai Ram Thakur said that the previous Government opened 16 degree colleges in the last days of its tenure and by making a provision of only Rs. 1 Lakh per college for these colleges. He said that even a PHC was opened in the State at a place which not even existed in the State, which speaks of the desperation of the previous Government to retain power by any means. He said that retired and tired officers were having say in the Government during the previous tenure.

The Chief Minister said that the people of the State have given massive mandate to the BJP in the State and credit of this goes to each and every people of the State. He said that the present Government was committed towards providing transparent and responsive government to the people of the State. He said that the Government soon after coming to power initiated Gudiya Helpline for safety of women and Hoshiyar Singh Helpline for curbing mafia activities in the State.He also announced Rs 2.80 crore for construct of link road from Nagnoli to harijan basti, Rs. 1.28 crore for Panjwar Bathari Road, Rs. 1.20 crore Santoshgarh Polia to Batkalan road, announced construction of Subuvana-Baliwal road under Mukhiya Mantri Sadak Yojna, Rs. 3 crore for annual maintenance of roads, He said that adequate funds would be provided for construction of Beet Irrigation Schemes. He announced 25 tubewell for the area. He announced Commerce classes in Govt. Senior Secondary School Pandoga. He announced starting of Commerce and Science classes in Govt. Senior Secondary School Palkwah. Rs. 6 crore additional funds would be provided under command area development fund for the area. He said that labour Hostel Bathu would be utilized properly. He said that matter of channelization of various rivulets of the area would be taken up at the earliest. Rs 5.20 crore would be provided at the earliest to complete construction of various senior secondary schools building.

Later he laid foundation stone of Lift Irrigation Scheme at Ispur under Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana for village Banjal Deoli, Badehra, Rajputan Nakroh, Oel and Shivbari to be constructed at a cost of Rs 360.14 lakh.He also inaugurated 50 bedded Girls Hostel Building of Dr B.R. Ambedkar Govt. Polytechnic Ambota constructed at a cost of Rs 229.50 lakh.BJP State President Shri Satpal Singh Satti said that the two day tour of Chief Minister has proved very fruitful to the people of Una district as developmental projects worth crores have been inaugurating or foundation stone laid by him. He said that the previous Government did nothing concrete for the development of the area. He said that development should be as per the requirement and need of the people of area and with an eye of not gaining political mileage.Prof. Ram Kumar while welcoming the Chief Minister detailed various developmental demands of Haroli area. He said that the Chief Minster had presented development and welfare oriented budget. He also urged the Chief Minister for coming heavily on drug mafia of the constituency.BJP Haroli Mandal President Shri Jasvinder Gugga welcomed the Chief Minister and other dignitaries on the occasion.Rural Development Minister Shri Virender Kanwar, MLA Chintpurni Shri Balbir Chaudhary and MLA Gagret Shri Rajesh Thakur, former Minister Shri Parveen Sharma, District BJP Chief Shri Balbir Bagga, Deputy Commissioner Shri Vikas Labru and Superintendent of Police Una Shri Divakar Sharma were present on the occasion.
