Executive Councilor (EC) for Health Muhammad Hussain today said that for overall personality development of the children and to attain harmony in body, mind and spirit, focused attention on physical education should be given.The EC stated this while addressing the trainees during the inaugural session of three-day orientation course for Physical Education Teachers (PETs) of Leh and Kargil districts at Indoor Stadium Kargil here.While underlining the need to maintain a balance between sports and curricular activities the EC urged upon the physical education teachers to engage children in sports and physical exercises thereby giving them opportunities to develop, mentally and morally with social qualities.Responding to the demand for conducting such orientation courses in the district in future, the EC assured that he will take up this issue with CEC Kargil adding efforts will be made to include special grants in the annual district plan.During the orientation course organized by District Youth Services and Sports Department Kargil, Physical Education Lecturers from Kargil district shall impart theoretical as well as practical training to 30 PETs from the twin districts on the methods, regulations, amended rules and other essential aspects of Football, Kabaddi, Kho Kho, Volley Ball and other games.In Charge District Youth Services and Sports Officer Kargil Aga Syed Taha, Zonal Physical Education Officer Kargil Haji Muhammad Jaffar and Muhammad Hussain Rehnuma also spoke on the occasion.
