While addressing a mammoth gathering at Nurpur in district Kangra today, Chief Minister Shri Jai Ram Thakur announced a sum of rupees five crore for Phinna Singh Project  and assured that whatever funds are required for its completion would be provided  so that the much delayed project was completed  soon. The Chief Minister announced upgradation of Nurpur hospital to 200 bed with all facilities and required posts. He also announced to start the dialysis facilities in Nurpur hospital soon, besides upgradation of blood Bank and providing CB-NAAT machine for testing and screening of pulmonary TB.Shri Jai Ram Thakur announced a sum of Rs. 50 lakh initially to start the work for construction of Model Bus stand at Jassur, adding that additional funds would be provided   in the upcoming budget. He also announced a sum of Rs. 15 lakh for constructing a boundary wall around HRTC workshop at Pathankot and assured opening of Police post at Sadwan soon after obtaining necessary details and inputs.Announced a sum of Rs. 20 lakh for construction of forest inspection hut at Badhui under eco-tourism Project through forest department. The Chief Minister said that the ‘war memorial, would be set up in Nurpur soon and directed for completion of all codal formalities. He said that he had taken up the matter with Union civil aviation Ministry for expansion of Kangra airport at Gaggal for catering to the needs of civil as well defence services. I think this would be an additional backup for the national security in emergent situation and for landing of bigger aeroplanes and more flights. 

He said that the first decision he took after assuming power was to suspend the services of tired and retired officers, who were committed to a particular family. He said that the present government had extended the services of revenue officials as Patwaris for undertaking the necessary revenue works of the people and put to rest all types of extensions in jobs.He also mentioned the decision of his government of reducing the age for social security pension of elderly from 80 to 70 years as a mark of respect for the old-aged. He also referred to setting up of ‘Guddiya’ help line for facilitating the women and protect them from all sorts of crime. He lambasted at the Congress government for being soft to the Police personnel who hatched a conspiracy for custodial death of one Suraj in Guddiya episode case. He also mentioned about the CBI inquiry into Murder of forest guard Hoshiar Singh. He also mentioned about degenerating law and order during the congress regime.He said that the Congress government intentionally delayed the preparation of Detailed Project Reports of 69 National Highways as sanctioned by the Government of India. The Congress feared that if they will start work on the road projects the BJP will take the credit of these centrally sponsored projects. "I have ordered to get prepared the DPRs soon and complete the process of hiring consultancy services by 31st March, 2018", he said.

The Chief Minister said that water supply projects of 54 crore were being implemented in Nurpur and would be completed soon, besides a sum of Rs.73 crore was being spent under road projects in the constituency. Adequate funds will be provided in the budget, he said. He had all praise for local MLA Shri Rakesh Pathania to whom he termed as a leader who fights for the cause of his people without considering whether he is in ruling or in opposition. He is a leader who is committed to work and ensures that the benefits of development percolate to the last man in the row.He thanked the people of Kangra for supporting the BJP candidates. He said that people will witness the change in working of the government soon. He said that due to his being elected as Chief Minister the regional blame game has come to an end. There were petty differences like colour of caps which divided the people on ideology which has come to an end, as he had stopped wearing the cap, he said. Earlier the Chief Minister laid foundation stone of augmentation of Lift Irrigation Scheme, Bhadwar in Nurpur to cost rupees four  crore and will facilitate irrigation of as much as 180 hectares of land from Gareli Khud source.Health Minister Vipin Parmar also addressed the gathering. He supported the demand of strengthening the Nurpur Civil Hospital. He said soon the dialysis facility would be made operational soon in the hospital and also urged the Chief Minister for upgradation of the hospital from 100 to 200 beds.MLA Shri Rakesh Pathania, gave a rousing reception to the Chief Minister on reaching Nurpur. 

While welcoming him he said that the Rs. 204 crore Phinna Singh Water Supply Scheme which was to irrigate 7500 hectare was a dream still far away. He said after taking all type of clearances the foundation stone of the Scheme was laid by former Chief Minister Shri Prem Kumar Dhumal but during the last five years of Congress regime nothing materialised and the project came to standstill. He said that as of now whatever work had been done it was during the BJP regime and around half of the amount has been spent and more funds were required for its early completion. He also urged for Police Station and a coloured x-ray machine in Civil Hospital Nurpur, endoscopy facility.   He demanded 200 bed facility from existing 100 in Nurpur hospital. He said that Nurpur hospital was feeding people of five constituencies with one doctor during night shift sans paramedical staff and doctors. He said that from last five years of Congress regime nothing seemed to be functioning as a government and the people of Nurpur constituency were facing acute water shortage and electric problem. He also urged for developing Model Bus Stand at Jassur. He also urged for permitting setting up war memorial in Nurpur under ECH Scheme. He also urged for eco-park at Khanni-Baddui area. He also urged for construction of new college building at Nurpur, though the foundation stone was laid in Congress regime and thereafter nothing was done.He also honoured the Ministers with a portrait of the famous Brijeshwari Krishna Temple of Nurpur. Food and Civil Supply Minister Shri Kishan Kapoor, Urban Development Minister Smt. Sarveen Chaudhary, Heath Minister Shri Vipin Parmar, MLAs Shri Vikram Singh Jariyal, Shri Rita Dhiman, Shri Arjun Thakur, Shri Rajesh Thakur, Shri Arun Kumar (Kukka) Ex-MLAs, Shri Dulo Ram, Shri Harbans Rana, Shri Manohar Dhiman, State BJP Secretary Shri Kripal Parmar, District President BJP Shri Sanjay Guleria, were present on the occasion amongst others.
