DIET organizes Science exhibition at Doda

To develop scientific temper in the younger generation of the district, District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Doda today organized two day first District Level Science Exhibition under RMSA at town hall Doda.DDC Doda Mr. Mubarak Singh inaugurated the science exhibition. Principal District Institute of Education and Training Doda, Principal Boys High Secondary School Doda, Head of Department of various educational Institutions, Teachers, Parents, Students, prominent citizens besides others were present.While inspecting the various scientific models prepared by students of various schools of the District. DDC appreciated  the innovations made by the students in preparing those models and  stressed that practical knowledge about the studies should be given priority.Earlier Principal DIET threw light about the various educational scholarships schemes under RMSA, SSA etc. He informed that students from about sixty different   schools participated in exhibition in which models about various topics in the science were displayed.While addressing the participants, DDC explained that how innovations and applications of science could contribute towards the welfare of society. He also gave some common examples of progressive and desirable use of science in community.He informed that Systematic Voter's Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) programme  has already been rolled out in the district in which BLOs, ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers etc. are untiringly providing awareness to the voters about their right of voting. He further informed that  PER and  EPIC ratio of the district has been substantially increased and hoped that with efforts of district administration and cooperation of people voter turnout in forth coming general elections will  be appreciable.
