Canadian entrepreneurs calls on Rana KP to promote technology of converting garbage to energy in Punjab

A delegation of entrepreneurs from Canada accompanied by some Indian entrepreneurs today called on Speaker of Punjab Assembly Rana KP Singh here at his official residence to promote technology of converting garbage to energy in the state. They also offered solution for the soil pollution caused by the use of fertilizers and pesticides in the agriculture sector.Rana KP Singh assured the delegation that he would discuss their offers and suggestions for Punjab with the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh.Revealing this here today, an official spokesman of Punjab Government said that a delegation comprising Mr. Rakesh Sharma, CEO Quick Way International Export Import Inc., Prof. Mahabala Adiga, President and CTO of Smart Energy Storage Systems and Smart Zero Energy Buildings and Mr. N. Vasudevan, Director, Innovative Occupational Health and Environment, gave a presentation on the application of the green technology to cope up with the emerging challenges of environment pollution.Divulging further, spokesman said that during the meeting the delegation explained the application of Green Technology solutions to the problem of waste and showed interest in building the waste treatment plants in the state that convert waste to electricity or liquid hydrogen or diesel furnace fuel or other forms of energy. The delegation also stressed on the promotion of the use of Structural Insulated Panels (SIP's) made from strong and energy-efficient high performance material and LED lighting technology for municipal installations.The delegation also claimed that they have technology to effectively check soil pollution and offered to use their technology as a solution for the soil pollution caused by the use of fertilizers, pesticides and insecticides etc in the agriculture sector.Rana KP Singh assured the delegation that he would further discuss their proposal and suggestions with the Chief Minister of Punjab Captain Amarinder Singh so that the state government can do a feasibility study on the application of these technologies in the state, added the spokesman.
