The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir today convened a meeting to review the progress achieved under Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna(PMAY-G) within the panchayat Halqas of Tangdar, Machil, Keran, Langate, Teetwal, Drugmulla, Trehgam, Nutnussa, Kupwara and Sogam.The meeting was attended by the officers and engineers of Rural Development Department and Panchayat Raj Institutions of the district. The DDC impressed upon all the executing and implementing agencies to achieve the progress under the programmes well in time. He also emphasized upon the concerned to upload their daily based data and MIS, besides Geo Tagging be performed as per the guidelines devised by the department.It was given out that under PMAY-HFA component 341 cases are being executed off for the construction of the houses. Out of them, 148 housing cases were sponsored. Meanwhile, 30 cases were given financial concurrence under PMAY-G by the financial institutions functioning in the district.
The Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Kupwara Mohd.Abdullah Malik, Chief Planning Officer Kupwara Imtiyaz Ahmad, Assistant Commissioner Development Kupwara, Yar Ali Khan, District Panchayat Officer, Aizaj Ahmad, concerned BDOs, AEEs, JEs, Panchayat Inspectors, VLWs, MFWs were present in the meeting to discuss various issues pertaining to SBM/PMAY implementation in the district.The ACD and DPO briefed the meeting about the physical progress achieved under SBM and PMAY and other related matters. It was given out that under implementation of SBM-G component 80,000 households were targeted for the district. Under PMAY-G 1699 houses for execution were targeted out of which 1542 beneficiaries have been registered under the first instalment and 1454 cases were covered under Geo-tagging.The ACD Kupwara assured the meeting for timely completion of all units of houses within the stipulated time frame.The DDC impressed upon the concerned BDOs and all stakeholders to utilize their available resources for completion of works up to March this year to achieve 100% targets, besides maintaining Geo Tagging, MIS biodata uploading on daily basis.
