Divisional Commissioner, Hemant Kumar Sharma, along with Deputy Commissioner, Kumar Rajeev Ranjan, today visited Jammu Bus Stand and interacted with stranded passengers to enquire about the facilities they are being provide by the district administration.Divisional Commissioner gave on spot direction to the concerned department to ensure that the stranded passengers get proper food. He directed Jammu Development Authority to open four halls at Bus Stand in order to provide shelter to the families stranded there.Managing Director SRTC was directed to deploy adequate buses at Bus Stand so that the passengers could be facilitated at the time of opening of the road. District Administration and Regional Transport Officer Jammu was directed to check that no overcharging is done at Bus Stand Jammu from the stranded passengers.
