Minister for Agriculture Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura   informed the Upper House that the government would refer 362 posts of VLWs, 74 MPWs and 31 junior assistants for newly created CD blocks of Jammu region to the recruiting agency for selection.Replying to a question of Sham Lal Bhagat, the Minister said the government has already filled up numerous vacancies and the efforts are being made to fill the remaining vacant posts at the earliest through direct recruitment and DPC mode.Giving details, the Minister informed that 279 posts of Patwaris are vacant in Jammu division and assured that these vacancies would be filled up soon.He said that the policy for creation of new Patwar Halqas in Jammu is under consideration of the government.Legislator Sajjad Ahmad Kichloo also raised supplementary question to the main question.
