Minister for Rural Development & Panchayati Raj and Law & Justice, Abdul Haq today said that the government is committed to develop the rural areas and provide every basic amenities there at par with the urban areas.He said this while inaugurating various lanes and drains constructed by the department in convergence with the funds provided by MLC Surinder Ambardar at Kalika Nagar Block Bhalwal at the cost of 8.50 lakh.Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that present Govt is keen to resolve the problems of the people especially in the rural areas and many such schemes are being designed to help the poor and marginalized communities.He said various revolutionary steps are being taken to develop rural infrastructure that will diminish the rural urban divide.
While responding the grievances of the people, Minister assured early action on genuine demands, the Minister said State Government is taking keen interest in mitigating the problems faced by the public of the state.He said government is not only to provide basic amenities in rural areas but to improve quality of life and ensure integrated development of these areas.Abdul Haq asked the people to come forward and get aware about the various welfare schemes of the Government and get maximum benefit of them. The minister directed the official for repairing of roads and construction of culverts for drainage in the block.Later, the Minister took stock of various on-going development works in the block and directed the officials to expedite the pace of work on these projects for quality and timely completion.MLC, Surinder Ambardar appraised the Minster regarding the various developmental works of the block. Prominent among those present on the occasion were Director RDD, Rajinder Kumar,BDO, Neha Sharma, executive engineer, Parvaiz Ahmad and other official of the department.
