3 DPRs of Rs 9.38 cr prepared for flood protection works on Aripath Nallah : Sham Lal Chowdhery

Rs 41.41 lakh spent on 10 flood protection works since April 2016

Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Sham Lal Choudhary on Thursday said that the government has prepared 3 Detailed Project Reports at the cost of Rs 9.38 crores to construct flood protection bund all over Aripath Nallah and its tributaries in Shangus constituency.Responding to a calling attention notice by legislator Gulzar Ahmad Wani, Minister said that a DPR of Rs 94.94 lakhs and Rs 93.76 lakhs for flood protection and anti-erosion control works on Aripath Nallah Part A and Part B under NABARD while another DPR of Rs 7.49 crore has also been prepared for flood protection works in critical reaches of Aripath Nallah and its allied tributaries. He said the DPR has been cleared by Technical Advisory Committee and is being submitted to Central Water Commission for Reappraisal. The Minister further informed that 10 works at the cost of Rs 41.41 lakhs have been executed in last two years vulnerable spots of the said Nallah  since last fiscal under Flood restoration and Spot treatment at Brisnoo, Methmoo, Bonard, Brakpora, Kanganhall, Brimer, Kanganhall, Ohpaison, Tailwani and Odussa.
