Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Abdul Haq Khan today informed the house that around 11 projects involving Rs. 32.57 crore have been taken in Ramban and Reasi districts under Integrated Water Management Programme (IWMP) in the last three years.Replying to a Question of legislator Ajaz Ahmed Khan, the Minister said that five projects at an estimated cost of Rs. 32.56 crore were sanctioned and taken up in district Reasi, against which Rs 7.51 crore were released and Rs. 7.41 crore incurred till ending December, 2017. Similarly, six projects were taken up in Ramban district at an estimated cost of Rs. 34.43 crore against which Rs 4.23 crore were released and Rs. 4.17 crore spent till December 2017, said the Minister.The Minister further informed that the actual implementation of projects started during the year 2012-13 and the funds are released annually as per the requirement and number of projects sanctioned for the respective districts.
